So far, the posts to this article are totally besides the point...
Manufacturing implies making physical stuff! You cannot outsource manufacturing like you can IT resources, especially if the manufacturing process involved is high-tech.
Low-tech manufacturing is going to China, high-tech HAS to stay local because the infrastructure needed to absorbe these IT funds must be in place on the plant floor before spending IT budgets on manufacturing begins. Anybody involved in plant automation knows this.
As far as the banking industry goes, YOU have the power to change your accounts to a non-outsourcing bank...DO IT, or shut up!
So get a clue people...before crucifying another country for no good reason.
(PS: No, I'm not from India.)
