Hehe, your ABM desperation makes me laugh
Must be the IT industry has stagnated! But how can that be with Apple last qtr revenue up 65% earnings up 91.5%

The iPod, which represents almost all of that growth, has what exactly to do with IT? I won't take anything away from Apple's fantastic year but your "IT industry" sarcastic statement simply isn't supported by Apple. Apple is less an IT company and more a consumer goods company.

Red Hat is also doing well but it isn't hard to double your earnings when you barely broke even last year. To put it into perspective, Microsoft made more profit by 2pm on the first day than Red Hat did for the entire quarter. It took Microsoft 2 weeks to make more profit than Apple did for their entire quarter. I'm not taking anything away from either Apple or Red Hat and I'm glad for them that they both had record breaking years, but neither is even close to making the type of profit that MS makes.

MS share price still stagnant despite billions spent in share buyback, guess only MS directors believe the stock is worth buying

Keep in mind that with 95% of the market and your product in 50% of the homes and 99% of businesses, doubling your revenue is extremely difficult if not impossible. This is the first year that Apple has had incredible growth, every other year has been average at best. Let's see if they can keep it up once 50% of the population owns an iPod.

But I don't really care since stocks aren't what is running my computer. If you want the best of both worlds, you should have bought Apple stocks but used XP as your OS. wink Actually, you would have been even better off buying Bioreference Laboratories stocks since they've gone from less than $2/share in 2001 to $18/share now. Gee, suddenly Apple stock doesn't look all that amazing!

I'll close just by reminding you of this: MS took a few hours to make more profit than Red Hat did in 90 days... a few hours... 90 days... Hell, it took MS less than 2 days to make in profit what took Red Hat 90 days to make in revenue! Yeah, MS is DEAD BY NEXT YEAR!!!

Sleep well Richard, I will. wink
