So no documents?
I thought they were also releasing the documents they were asked for. If they release only the code its an obfuscation. Since they can't copy the code without violating the copyright, and have to figure out what it's doing and re-write it in a different way.

I think you'll find they're also releasing the documentation otherwise its a pretty pointless PR stunt.
