Stupid code names. The actual package names are more informative:
Microsoft? Expression? Graphic Designer
Microsoft? Expression? Interactive Designer
Microsoft? Expression? Web Designer

They might do well in their respective market places.
I don't know what Interactive Designer is - is that like
Macromedia director??

However I think that Microsoft will have a tough time dislodging
Dreamweaver / Fireworks etc if that's what they're after, and
Adobe illustrator etc. If only because the professionals who use
them know them inside out.

I'm surprised that Microsoft is going after what is probably a
comparatively small market.
I guess after the XBox 360 disaster, they're trying safer ground.

BTW I think games magazines pretty much think the 360 is
great, but the starting lineup is way too weak, and there is
insufficient improvement over the previous generation.
By comparison, the PS2 is still mighty (I'm just about to buy a
second one today, after selling my XBox yesterday - the reason,
... singing star. What a class game. Try it really. A million times
more fun than Halo2 online). [two PS2s because four kids).
And the decision not to support previous version games out of
the box... unfortunate. Xbox games are poor compared to PS2
games also: even Halo2 is pale compared to SOCOM seals IMHO.

A bit off topic, I guess, but along the avenue of Microsoft
diversifying products.

Like I said, going after such a small market seems foolish to me
(but then I'm not a billionaire!).
