Pixar better with Microsoft software???
That is just about the funniest thing I've read in a long time.
Pixar is already a super competitent software developer. If there
is a tool they need and don't have, they can always develop it in-
house...and they have and continue to do that. They demo'd an
app they made for their internal use at Macworld several years
ago.

As for Microsoft's chance of pushing Adobe aside in graphics
and publishing? No chance unless they consider the Macintosh.
Too many print shops fully utilize a Mac-Postscript pipeline and
have their setup tuned and running fine. Why should they
completely re-tool around non-compatible technology when
they are busy making money today?

The second issue concerns PDF. PDF is here to stay and is so
important. Microsoft isn't going to support it either so again it
means a complete over-haul in the design shops and print
houses (which are filled with Macs, yet again the first problem).

The Pixar note is funny. Good one.
