Fix what we got, amen
So-called 'early adopters' who must buy the next new thing simply due to its newness are the proverbial fools: soon to be parted from their money.

I got over the excitement of a 'new Windows system' after buying one (Windows 95) long ago.

It replaced my stable, reliable copy of Windows 3.1, the last Microsoft product that gave me years of service without complication and endless technical support hassles.

That was over a decade ago. Since then, I've been waiting for the day when I have to give up my current rig and purchase a new one, equipped with the latest kludge OS festooned with bells and whistles, 'guaranteed to solve thousands of previous Windows OS problems' etc. etc. and requiring ever more RAM and hard drive space.

No thanks. Try for robust, efficient, stable, reliable. That's my PC wet dream.
