Intel already dealt with a trademark problem with it's earlier generations of x86 processors. In the heyday of the 80386 and 80486 lines they tried to prevent AMD, et. al. from using '386' and '486' in their processor names. I believe the court ruled that you cannot use a number as a trademark---which is why the next generation of Intel CPU's was named "Pentium".
