Their competition is too strong and entrenched
Quark has been so dominant for so many years - with whole
workflows built around it - that Corel would have too tough a
nut.

Adobe Indesign has gained an enormous following, especially
with the Creative Suite all working together. The cost of full
Creative Suite is only about $1200 - for Indesign, Photoshop,
Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, GoLive. That's Adobe's marketing power
in action.

There are a number op publishing system companies that have
now built products to support Indesign workflows.

A product like Ventura, no matter how good, would have a very
hard time going against the entrenched Quark and the strong
and growing Creative Suite. I've worked in graphics for about 15
years. I've never once encountered a Ventura document nor
have I ever even been asked about it.

Lastly, Ventura does not run on Macs, which still dominate the
graphics/publishing arena.
