Let's think about this...

Say a company of about 50 people on a T1, connecting up to a webmail server, pinging it about 1000 times a day per user, uploading drawings and everything else to it just to send information internally as well as externally. Keep in mind, these people are probably not trained enough to drop an attachment on a reply.

Yeah... I don't think that is going to happen. I think the breaking point for that would be between 10 and 15 employees. After that, I would host locally.

It doesn't take much for a company to outgrow a email service.
