Notes vs MS
I suffer through Notes every day. Lack of integration with the file system, idiosyncratic behaviors in lots of little ways, a rat's nest of ACLs and a horror when extending apps and setting permissions, "databases" that ARE NOT! they are docubases ... just try to do even simple database tasks. Email silos ... speaking of email is where information goes to be lost ... well, Notes is king. Development in that miserable scripting language that still shows its history of Lotus macros. Or Java, but we don't have the staff to support MS platforms and Java. On the other hand, I have not used Exchange so maybe it's just as bad but in different ways.
