As a staunch libertarian...

...as well as a registered (L)ibertarian, I am by and large totally opposed to government control, or ANY outside control, over broadcasters or cable companies.

Having said that, let me qualify just a bit...

When an entity controls SO MUCH of the televised media as Comcast does, then proceeds to practice overt censorship, it is time to stand up in protest. Given the freedom to do so, corporate oligarchies can and will censor material that they consider personally objectionable, and this is unacceptable in a society that is supposed to be dedicated to the free exchange of ideas.

P.S. As far as medical marijuana, I don't believe there has ever been an issue so widely supported by the masses and so widely opposed by the government (and the corporate interests with whom they are in bed). Excuse me, but isn't America supposed to be a representative democracy?
