GPL is pointless...
Me and all of my CIO friends ignore the GPL at will. We don't acknowledge Open Source software. We are 100% tied to Microsoft technologies and will never look back. Our legal team approached me once about the GPL and I told them to "shut their mouths and know their roles". We don't need to care about it. We take all of our guidance from Microsoft and my rep calls the shots. My rep is taking me to dinner tonight to give me Microsoft's official position on the GPL. I hope to get it over with during the appetiziers so I can enjoy the meal with my rep. Linux and Open Source are completely finished.

If they used the GPL v2, they agree to that clause. That clause is PART  DonnieBoy | 01/16/06
That clause you quoted  Michael Kelly | 01/17/06
But if you put a version number, users can still distribute copies under  DonnieBoy | 01/17/06
