"Ignorance of the law is no excuse"
I believe that is a Thomas Jefferson quote, and you are, in fact,
wrong. Ingorance can be seen as a mitigating circumstance, but
it does not free one from the responsibility of following the law.
Case in point would be the recent RIAA lawsuit against a 12 year
old girl, whose mother thought that since she used a paid for
version of Kazaa, the downloads were legal.
