Not worth continuing? Given that he's staying with the same company, at either a lesser salary or one that will be frozen for a while (CTO won't make more than the CEO...that would be a first)...it certainly looks like he's *not* concerned with where to find a better financial opportunity. It's pretty clear he wants to get back to focusing on the technical side of things. Another indication that he sees embedded Linux going places...he'd switch to a company focused on another technology otherwise.
