Obviously you?ve missed the news.
Obviously you?ve missed the news. There are bus loads of lawyers & marketing specialist out there right now trying to accomplish the very thing you want. They are working full time to convince Americans and then the rest of the world that for every wrong there must be a corporation to pay the bill. Someone gets shot, blame (sue) the gun manufacturer, someone drives drunk blame (sue) the car maker, someone is over-weight blame (sue) the fast food industry, someone copies music blame (sue) P2P software.

The dread disease of litigus excessivius has spread from California to America to Europe, Australia and Asia. It has become a pandemic virus that is killing everything in its path. Faster than a Concorde jet and more deadly than an enraged Muslim terrorist, it is enriching lawyers and impoverishing the world. Think about it what other purpose could their be for 100+ year copyrights if not the enrichment of lawyers?

Does anyone think there will be a computer in 2085 running Windows for Workgroups? Does anyone think this weeks latest rap album will be a hot commodity in 100 months far less 100 years? The purpose of 100+ year copyrights is to ensure full employment for copyright attorneys.

These parasites will threaten to sue a 12 year old for swapping songs or an 8 year old (if I remember her age right) for using her name, Veronica, as a url. They don?t care about public opinion, they?re lawyers, possibly the most hated creatures on the planet.

Shakespeare was right - ?First we kill all the lawyers.? And since lawyers are politicians in larvae form, if we get rid of one we may well be rid of the other, I contend neither will be missed.
