You Need to Move On!!!
I have worked and managed a telephone support crew. If I had you, with that attitude on my crew your next paycheck would include a pink slip. I'm sure when you got your first PC you were all knowing and all seeing and knew everything there was to know about PCs. Whats stupid is when I have to go fix and cleanup my Mom or Aunts PC and when I ask them why they didn't call Tech Support they say it is because the Tech Support people make them feel so stupid. You think they can't hear the sighs and the tone of your voice indicating to them that you are thinking "another idiot". They actually think it is THEIR fault when in actually it is Techs like you. For your information, my Mother and Aunt both received PC's the Xmas before last and called me to come set them up. I patiently explained and showed them how to protect against being infected and how to keep their PCs updated and neither of them have yet been infected by any virus in the entire time they have owned their PCs. Time for you to move on to a new profession, preferebly one that doesn't have to deal with the public.
