Bankrupt due to piracy - Arrr matey
So they blame their bankrupcy on the rampant piracy going on in the world?

It has nothing to do with an economic downturn that has left a good chunk of the population without the free spending money to waste on things like CDs? You know, rather than buying FOOD when jobs are scarce?

And I am sure it has nothing to do with the fact that the anecdotal evidence points to people just not liking the dilluted, commercialized, sell-out music currently being cranked out by the so-called "performers" these days.

Of course it COULDN'T be because more and more major radio markets are being bought out by mega-corporations that dictate what every music listeren across the country can or cannot hear. The last time I checked diverse playlists will inspire people to buy a CD of something they actually like, but hearing the same 10 songs 45 times a day doesn't really make most people run to their nearest music store to buy the latest album from Eminawannabeabustarhymer Spears.

I suppose K-Mart would like to blame it's bankrupcy filing on rampany shoplifting.

And United's woes can be attributed to people swiping those little pillows off the planes.

C'mon folks, if you ran your business into the ground by refusing to embrace the consumers, to understand their spending power, and work to get them what they want under a sound business model, just say so. We'll understand. After all, we are just mindless consumers right?
