Python Performance
Hey, don't go dissing Python! happy

Python is one heck of a neat language, and .Net will make it *compile*. Catch that? *Compile*. To native code.

Can't get much faster than that!

I'm drooling over the thought of finally having Visual Studio supporting Python in a GUI environment.

Python is wonderful, Tkinter and company are *not*.

IronPython release 1.0 will definitely be tucked safely in my programming toolbox, wonder if they'll give a version of it away free like they did VB.Net (VB.NET 2005 rocks. Mixed with MSDE (or whatever they're calling the 2005 version) I can do darn near anything I need. For free!) The IDE for 2005 .Net anything is absolutely top shelf.

Slither on beautiful Python! Guido van Rossum, what hast thou wrought...
