MCSDs are now on the clock...
My rep came here and announced the release of Python from Microsoft for the ubiquitous .NET technology stack. I modified our employment agreement to allow our developers to use Python "only if it is Microsoft's distribution". Basically, you still get fired for using Python unless it is Microsoft's version. To show support for Microsoft's initiative, I demanded 5% of our web sites be modified with Python code to show support for MS and my rep. This was a hard decision, but my rep assured me "If Microsoft releases open source software, it is not malware like Linux". That was good enough for me. My rep and I are off to lunch at a local bistro where we will get some penne pasta and maybe some spirits. Who knows, after an hour or so I may be signing a new NDA!
