Difference is....Windows is insecure by design
Microsoft deliberately made Internet Explorer able to download code from websites and run it on your machine. It's by design and it's called ActiveX. Even before it was introduced everybody knew it would be a security disaster, and indeed it is.

No other browser supports these features so they're intrinsically more secure.

Similarly outlook. Somebody actually designed an email program where things could arrive in your inbox and do automatically things to your machine. How smart was that? Even a two year old could tell you what it was likely to be used for (hint: it wouldn't be your nive friends sending you pretty animated birthday cards).

What was that other one... the one which allowed people to pop up message windows on your machine over the network. Do you remember when you first installed XP and started getting all those popups for "diplomas"? Who the hell thought that was a good thing to include in an operating system? The mind boggles...

Bottom line: These people are TOTAL MORONS when it comes to security. They simply don't have a clue.
