I guess you missed my point, which was:

Pathetic market share values (below 10%) does not attract attention from virus writers, hence, Macintosh (the platform) and other non-MS browsers have not had their doors and windows rattled like Windows and IE have had. That is their only saving grace. Looking at the number and severity of holes that are patched on the Mac on an almost montly basis now, it should seem clear that there must be another reason why it is not being hacked, other than "It Is So Unbelievable Secure". That reason is simply marketshare, or the lack thereof. And no, time-to-fix is not the reason either, because if you dig into the history of the holes that Apple patches, you'll notice that some have been known for months before a patch was released. And the fact that almost all recent Windows infections happened only AFTER the vulnerability was already patched.

If Steve Jobs had it in him to get the Mac's market share to anything higher than the pathetic 3 to 5%, things would look different.

But Steve Jobs doesn't have it in him.
