Opera is a good browser, much better than IE 6. I prefer Firefox, but that's just personal preference - either is a street ahead of IE 6.

Opera's small user-share does not mean it's untested - look at the going-over that Safari gets, yet its share is perhaps 3%. Saying it's untested because it has a small user-share is simply illogical. If you look at all the hacks for IE, you will see that Opera (and nearly all other browsers) don't have those hackable features.
