EU threatens Microsoft with daily fines

"Once an oral hearing is held and, if the Commission
ultimately renders a final decision unfavorable to the
Redmond, Wash.-based software giant, the Commission
may take up the issue of continuing with its daily fine until
it believes that Microsoft has complied with its order."

The Commission hasn't decided to fine Microsoft yet, they
have just issued a warning that says MS's first effort was
not good enough, and that if their documentation isn't up
to scratch this time, they'll be fined. Pretty clear really.

Microsoft have had over 18 months to get the
documentation ready. If they haven't got it ready by now,
that's their problem - or are they incapable of properly
documenting their own software?

You keep saying if people don't like Microsoft's products,
don't buy them. So why aren't you saying that if MS doesn't
like the EU's conditions, that they should stop selling their
product in Europe? No one is forcing them to.
