This is part of Microsoft's......
Two pronged attack on Linux. Along with bogus "studies" about
how windows is "better" than Linux.

This self-described "unbiased research study" of 800 IT
decision-makers at U.S.-based companies with annual revenues
of at least $10 million?who were also awarded frequent flyer
points as an incentive for taking the survey?found that
Microsoft is ranked as the most interoperable vendor and
technology provider within the customers' existing IT
environment.
Incentives to give the desired answers? SCO should be wary of
doing MS's bidding. MS will fund a "unbiased research study"
that will claim that SCO Unix is dangerous (and should be
replaced with windows).

Though you have to give it to Gates here, pay SCO to attack
Linux. That way MS doesn't have to look like the evil monopoly,
it really is.
