I don't waste my time with spam
I use the easiest most accurate way of avoiding spam. Anyone can do it. Any time I send out an email to someone or subscribe to a service or order from a company I put the name of that person or company in a list. If I receive email from anyone NOT in that list it goes straight into my delete folder. About once a week I do a quick glance down my delete folder for any new person or company who might have slipped through the filter that I want to correspond with and add their from address to the list. Then a quick empty of the trash folder and its gone. I tried all these fancy anti-spam bots and tricks to get people to send to an address I change periodically but that requires work and I often found I was not getting the good email I wanted. Even now my ISP tells me it suspects some of my email is spam when I know its not. My "white list" makes all of that obsolete. You're not on the list, you're spam. This is also great for the 20 or 30 virus emails I get a day. I just empty the trash and they're gone.
