Yes, and Microsoft can make suttle changes to break things.
It is Microsofts browser, and they can do what they want to make sure there are problems. They just might not bother testing any changes in the browser to make sure it does not cause problems with Sun's Java plugin. Kind of like the fox guarding the chicken coup.
