MS Virtual Machine
My Dear Friend,

MS-VM was not a Java and you only ran Java code on it. MS-VM had many bugs and it was not Java compliant which I personally reported to Microsoft (they promised to deliver some fixes on Windows 2000, but they never did).

Multithreadinng... well after discussions with some smart Alec who wanted to teach me (after years of multithreaded development in my experience) I showed I break his "workarounds" with simple test cases that were implementing Java standard specified behavior he apparently gave up.

Yes, Java has been buggy. Ther is no software without bugs. Only your case probably shows to others that nobody should program to vendor specific "extensions" and then expect the software to run on standard platform.
