Eventually, most of tasks will be outsourced to software housess o don't be so sure about your position.

Anyway get ready for another paycut if you are employee in some industry as asoftware developer, promote to business side or go consulting (outsource)... or you can sleep over your chance to drive your own career and will let others drive it to their convenience.

Take it or ignore it (from consultant who came back to consulting).

I hope that you also understand difference between outsource and offshore (you alse have different levels of offshore).
