It's a reoccuring theme.. W2k, NT4.0, NT 3.51, ME, 98SE, 98, 95B, 95..
M$ long ago discontinued support for vast majority of their released OS's and applications. Leaving most of their customers with few choices.

Choice A..
Expend funds, and receive another risky and limited lifespan upgrade from M$.

or

Choice B..(*)
Keep your money, keep your existing M$ OS, and stop using M$ malware applications, like Internet Explorer.. Outlook, etc. Any M$ application that communicates over the internet. Replace them with applications supported by 3rd parties. Like Firefox, Opera, Java, Eudora, Pegasus, etc..

(*) It's always advisable to install a 3rd party firewall/nat router box(~$20) to protect your local area networks & PCs from remote intrusion.

Get the M$ upgrade monkey off your back and set yourself free. Layered diversity is the KEY to PC security, a concept M$ has yet to grasp.
