Protectionism or Offshoring
Technology leaders have defended the practice of sending work abroad, saying that protectionist measures lead to lower economic growth and higher unemployment.

Talk about using an argument that is true to you advantage. It's interesting to note that they don't mention that thier own action contribute to lower economic growth and unemployment too.

Now the question is which is worse. Protectionism or off shoring? I think protectionism would be worse just purely because protectionism is done by government and government likes to swat flies with a sledge hammer.
