Here we have the champions of free enterprise, of capitalism and free markets, where maximising profit is the only goal, suddenly deciding that maybe social responsibility counts?

Well dang.

Here's a view from the other side, where countries are being asked to free their markets for US products in the name of "free trade", yet the US wishes to raise tariffs as barriers to protect their own industry. It's called double standards.

Consider what US citizens would feel if Australia ruled that US companies could not bid for Australian government work? If the multi-billion dollar IBM Federal government contract was cancelled? Or the $75 million contract for MS software for the state government where I live was cancelled? What would your reaction be then?
