Politicians need to be answer to their electorate
Politicians need to answer to their electorate ? not just the lobbyists in Washington. Democrat, Republican, Independent?.Liberal, Conservative, Moderate. You vote your elected leaders into power to run government the way you want it to be run.

In the past all leaders would watch out for their ?voters?. In the past, often, watching out for large companies meant also watching out for their employees. If you helped a company it in effect helped the workers of that company. Recent changes have meant that legislation beneficial to corporations is not often beneficial to their workers as well. It is understandable that companies need to profit and run efficiently. Efficiently run corporations meant that it can maintain its employee count. Recently the ABSOLUTE bottom line ($$) is the goal. Corporations prefer to grow in dollars and lay off employees rather look at methods to stem the tied of layoffs.

Step one companies use H1B Visas to replace US staff for a reduction in rates. Interesting Fact: Consider a company that has 10 employees. If those 10 employees are a pool being considered for layoffs (5 US citizens/green card holders and 5 H1B visas) who do you think ?HAS? to get layed off first. Not the H1B visas. While US labor law prevents discriminations from either type of employee Immigration Law covering H1B Visas are protected first since an agreement has been signed by the company to employ those individuals and they must be protected first. FACT. Costs are reduced, Taxes reduced?Ironically this type of Visa is not to reduce costs. It is to provide access to trained employees when non are available.

Step two: The company has already reduced costs using H1B visas and wants to reduce costs more they move on to L-1 Visas. Taxes are reduced further. This type of Visa was never meant to replace employees?.NEVER EVER Meant to be used as it is being used!

Step Three: Jobs are finally outsourced overseas. Company has reduced taxes to 0%. Cost of labor is reduced to anywhere from 10% to 40%.

Step Four: There is now a Trade Deficit. Like it or not Labor, though often overlooked, contributes to our Trade Deficit. If I keep paying you for coconuts (Lets say I start with 10$ and buy one a day at 1$). On the 10th day I have no more dollars. No ability to buy coconuts and must either sell my coconuts back at a loss or sell off other things to get more coconuts. Eventually the economy goes into a tailspin

When politicians allow the hemorrhaging of jobs to continue it affects all of us. It means that each remaining employed person will eventually have to pay more taxes not less since the tax base is lost. It means that US military will suffer from cuts since the money will not exist to pay the same levels. It means that US infrastructure (Roads, Highways, Railways and Harbors) will not have the same level of funding to maintain itself?again the tax base is lost. The list goes on. It benefits only the stock holders, executive and sales force staffs of those companies.

Speak to your County Representatives, Governor, Congressmen, Senators and President. Speak to them in terms they understand. Let them know that you will speak now using emails, phone calls, letters. Let them also know that you will speak using your Vote if they continue the wholesale sell off of America. Don?t think so. Pick 10 industries that you believe are safe (outside of service ? the mark of a very unhealthy economy). Lets see of they have been affected. Manufacturing, Electronics, Textiles, Software, Data Centers,
