Ham Sandwich
Apparently getting rid of Nuekom and Allchin is not enough. Ballmer has to go. Lets refresh our memories now on Ballmer's first consent degree.

Its August 21 1995 and the should-be-Supreme-court nominee Judge Penfield Jackson has just approved consent-degree number one. The FTC and Justice Department had just finished 5 years of anti-trust investigation. Neukom declared victory; Gates joked about the potential of falling down the steps of the FTC building and "killing himself"; and the general lack of concern eventually led to the famous Ballmer statement which went something like

I could put a Ham Sandwich in Windows if I wanted to

This was before Barksdale began complaining about Microsoft's threat to Compaq (now HP) of canceled Window's licenses if they included Netscape.

It is fun to note that the term "Microsoft made them an offer they could not refuse" has been picked up by the Business Press in Seattle in regards to Real Network.

I believe that statement was first uttered here. The thuggary continues.

The notion of Microsoft being allowed to purchase AOL - which now owns Netscape - that was floated last month is just so not getting this anti-trust business.

Ballmer will be in jail unless removed from office. He just is incapable of changing his ways - the ways of not only tolerating but encouraging the culture of corruption that has found its way also into the US federal goverment.

To the brave honest folks at Microsoft, save your company. If ever there was a time to speak out it is now. Ham Sandwich's all around.
