... as long as their "product" (document format) can ONLY be used on an OS, via an application, which puts money in THEIR pockets.

Otherwise, like a spoiled child, they threaten to pick up all their marbles and go home. Whenever the law sees problems with the way MS plays, and insists that they change their products to play more nicely, MS always claims such changes would "'cripple' Windows to the point that the company may pull the OS from the market."

The only "special interest" the MA officials were looking at was THE PEOPLE, the very "special interest" they are supposed to serve in the first place. What did they have to gain, or any of the FREE software proponents have to gain, by insisting that government documents should be able to be read, and created, by everyone; free of the onerous price of admission (EULA) charged by Microsoft?

Oh, that's right, according to YOU, Anton, anything that DOESN'T line the pockets of the rich is obviously villainous and criminal, eh? You noble Republicon, you! silly
