Outlawing P2P is not the answer
Just as Prohibition didn't stop alcoholism and alcohol consumption, outlawing ths product will not eliminate file sharing. If you outlaw this vehicle, people will find another. All networks are file sharing mechanisms, so the entire personal computer landscape would have to be outlawed to control this behavior through the emilination of technology. Even hten, you still have cassettes, stand alone CD copiers, and a variety of other technologies that can be used to share music. You have recordable DVD's, VHS Tapes and other methods for sharing movies. Outlaw it all? Not the answer. If you want to eliminate this behavior, wich is yet to be proven to have a detrimental affect on the Music/Movie indusrties, you must concentrate on the behavior of the individual. It doesn't matter if someone steals one album or mass copies for distribution and proffit(the traditional deffinition for piracy BTW), punish the individual.
