Think about this.....
From stories I have read, about one million computers world wide got infected with MyDoom.A and B.

Of course, we know that MyDoom is Windows Trojan, so how many computers in the world run Windows 9x/XP/2000/2003 and are connected to the internet at least some of the time?

At least 100+ million wouldn't probably be off by a large factor.

Yes, I'm sure that there are those who will argue the numbers, but in reality, the world's worst Windows virus (I've never even seen a message with the payload cause my AOL & Hotmail & work account accounts filter worms) has only hit 1% of the platforms it potentially could.

Sure Windows has its security problems, but they simply are not as bad as many have you think.

And honestly, not Linux nor Mac nor OS XXX would be secure from this type of attack, assuming that the logged in user were running under an account that enough privledges to install apps.

But you can't do a DOS attack with these platforms because there aren't enough of them, given a 1% infection rate.
