New Pricing Model
What about a low priced software package that allowed people to turn on or download modules as they needed them? I can have a plain vanilla (think VisiCalc) spreadsheet for $100. But I now need to format cells. For another $25, it can be turned on. Then I need additional worksheets in the same workboo, can do for $50. Now, I need graphing; that is another $100. Guess what, now I have paid $275 in increments. And I select the increments. I only pay for the features I need. Just like buying a car; I pay extra for the leather trim and the moon roof.
