Digital Camera drivers
Unlike MSWindows, which requires a different driver for each device model, Linux uses drivers which are based on device classes. Digital cameras appear as simple storage devices (file systems) and all but the weirdest work with standard USB file system drivers -- automagically detected by the USB hotplug service.
