I see you've moved on to argumentum ad verecundiam =P Just because MS is not compatible with W3C does not disprove that the new Office is there to help web based languages and scripts. OfficeXML is just as much XML as SVG or anything else produced by the W3C (frankly, the ability to open a SVG is utterly irrelevant to the original point, all it proves is that MS does not support SVG. It certainly does not prove MS doesn't support XML). OfficeXML has even been offered royalty free by MS. Sure, it's not a W3C standard, but it's open and XML and any company can certainly use it in third party applications.

Lastly, I'm interested to hear how you believe Office produces broken HTML files. Are you saying it's not well-formed HTML or actually broken, as in unreadable?
