Hahahaha, moving on to argumentum ad hominem already? wink
You seem intent on personally committing every fallacy you accuse No_Ax of happy
I suggest that you look up "argumentum ad ignorantium." It doesn' mean what you apparently think it does.
Actually, you are the one who evidently doesn't know what it means. here, I'll help you out wink I'll even quote the source for you:

"In this type of argument the arguer claims that the conclusion is correct because no one has proved that it is wrong"

You have precisely done that. You concluded that Office routinely corrupts shared docs by asserting this through anecdotal evidence. You have formed your belief and stand by it simply because you haven't been shown proof to the contrary. You rest your case on, what do you call it? Ah yes "post-traumatic counseling".
That's "staffs," and the conjecture is Don's stock response when an MS application doesn't work in someone's system: blame the user or admins
So really you're arguing a non-existent argument?
Maybe Tsu Dho Nimh will show up on this one and add more details.
I'm sure this is what passes for a witty reply. It's perhaps more telling that you still rely on anecdotal references and not fact or evidence.
I'm sure that's nice. So are many other products, with much longer track records (e.g. CVS) As the question goes, though, "but will they come when you call them?"
Um....you are comparing Office to CVS? Ok....you do understand there is a difference between document collaboration and shared source/version control? MS offers many other products that compete with CVS (as just one example, consider VSS). Office is not one of them.
I'm sure that the people who thought that they lost work because their documents went divergent will feel much better knowing that it was all imaginary.
Back to argumentum ad ignorantiam are we? I show you proof, you reject it. Ok. I'm not saying document corruption doesn't exist, I'm giving you a real world example that it's perhaps more rare than you think.
I know I've done a lot of gratis file repair over the years, but maybe that was also imaginary.
Again, you are confusing personal anecdotal evidence with a logical argument. Perhaps this is the argumentum ad populum you liked to accuse other people of?
Stephen's Guide might help you avoid future embarassment.
Judging by your other comments, you must have just recently finished reading it huh? =P It's ok, you may want to re-read it one more time. Slower this time maybe? wink
