Microsoft eyes ads as consumers close wallets
Microsoft puts ads into their products and the usual group of whiners come out. Yet they didn't whine when other companies put ads into their products. Ads have been in products for years, since before the dotcom bubble. Remember NetZero and Juno? AOL? DivX uses it. Opera had it for the longest time. RadLight's products have it. But we won't mention all those others because as long as its Microsoft it must be a bad thing.
