Am I the only one who sees this as...
Forced upgrades of your Apps, OS, everything as per usual? First you need the new Exchange/whatever because your needs has grown and MS no longer sells the old one.

This forces new hardware and OS.

THis forces all other new apps.

This forces all client/PC's to be upgrades.

THis gives MS revenue.

Now before Axy gets on my chopping block, I just want to know: if Linux can still run on a 386 (as designed) then why can't Windows version FutureShock run on current 32-bit hardware and why can't I run 16-bit apps on my 64-bit Windows?

Now one can argue that I cannot run 32-bit Linux apps on my 64-bit Linux OS but first, I wouold beg to differ, second, I would either get the 64-bit port or re-compile to 64-bits.

Now, as the Axe is getting ready to come down on my neck, I would just like to say that re-compiling 23-bit apps to 64-bit apps isn't as hard as Axy made it out to be the last time I mentioned this to him and, no, I don't expect every end user to just re-compile. That is what porters --or is that portors-- are there for.

Okay. You can drop the Axe now.
