the audio out of my cd player to the audio in of my pc to rip
the one or two good songs from (borrowed) copy protected
cds

I buy music from iTunes, my cd purchasing days are over.
Apple's DRM isn't a big problem for me because they have
provided for "fair use" - unlike the WMA's others try to pass
off on the public.

And as far as Microsoft's plan to make a pc the "digital hub"
of the house? No thanks, my Mac already does that.
