"The next sea change is upon us ... "
Although it's slowly happening, little-by-little, consumers are becoming more and more computer savvy (with or without their knowledge). As open source and web service stategies such as Google start becoming more and more mainstream, people will statrt reacting to these changes. A lot of these offerings are far better than anything MS has offered in their recent history.

MS is paralleling what happened to the Detroit auto makers in the late 70s. The US car makers made uninspired products for years simply because everyone would still buy them anyway. Then along came a couple of companies called Toyota and Nissan .... and WHAM! .... they never knew what hit them. The rest is history.

"The next sea change" for MS is that there are lot of people who are tired of driving a Pinto ... the Toyota Corolla is starting to look pretty good right now. More car models will NOT help your image!

Watch your backside, Bill.
