The MySQL team is 1/10 th in manpower and 1/10000th in $$$ and other resources. They still managed to pull SEVERAL mySQL upgrade in the last 6 years. How did they accomplish this? And conversely, why the MS team could NOT?

The SGI entered the picture to make a comparison of the the quality and sophistication of the work that can be accomplished by a very small team of sophisticated engineers vs the same of a large pool of low-quality ones. IS this too hard to understand? I am sorry then for you...
