Hailstorm...
The part the article doesn't specify is that Hailstorm was not acceptable to consumers because Microsoft wanted to use it to store your credit card information and allow you to use them as a middle man in purchases with online merchants. Fine and dandy, except Microsoft's name was not then and is not now synonymous with security. I don't think it'll fly again if they are trying to include that part of their Hailstorm technology.
