It's the whole package
For many years, IT techies would complain about why Novell products were being replaced with other company's products, like Microsoft. The techies had there heads burried so much into the individual technologies, they didn't see the whole picture.

Today, most executives I meet are concerned about the whole package, i.e. development, security, end-user software, finance, servers, management products, messaging, web & client/server, etc.

Until Novell learns to sell to who has the money, they will never make it past where they are today, and likely will decline.
