Are we going backwards???
I remember a time when all I had was a dumb terminal and a keyboard sitting at my desk...

When the server decided to work it was a wonderful thing but get 1000+ people on it and voila! you were stuck at a slow crawl at best...

Now with high speed connections, more processing power, etc...do you really think that it's not going to happen again? I see it happen all over town at different stores that I go to and on phone calls that I make to the phone company or places like that. It's all great as long as the hardware is working at optimal efficiency but throw a wrench in the mix and there we all will be, sitting around twiddling our thumbs and wasting company money like we used to. In order for us ALL to access these "Remote" apps that the companies feeding it up are going to be hardpressed to maintain enough equipment to meet the supply and demand. IMHO I don't think going backwards in technology is the way to go. I want to keep my apps on my system and have access to them whenever and whereever I choose.
