- Some real analysis of fear...
- Who should fear AJAX? It's has nothing to do with either M$ technology or Java not fitting well with AJAX. Think about it: AJAX is XML and JavaScript. Both delivered to your browser by HTTP...either JSP or ASPs can fill this role. But what do the solutions created with AJAX replace? That's where the light shines. For M$, a rich web experience could kill some of its native Windows applications. For Java, its replacing one web-based system with another...or enhancing the existing ones, really. No loss here for Java, only gains. This is why M$ is now in a hurry to get in the web app market...they suddenly see their plight.
