- Looks like Sun and IBM smell blood. They both have a lot to gain here.
- It is noteworthy that IBM is supporting a standard started by SUN, where SUN has a HUGE head start. They both realize that this could substantially help their respective office suites, but more important severly weaken Microsoft's grip on both the office suite AND the desktop. A rising tide floats all boats.
